It will officially publish Oct. 11 but you can pre-order here … or wait until l get the list of local bookstores that will carry it — OR come to the 10 a.m. Oct. 30 Author’s Talk at the Boone County History & Culture Center. I’ll have books on hand to sell then.

At the talk, I’ll share about what it was like to research Columbia’s movie theaters all the way from the first one in 1894 to the present, how theater buildings have changed since then (seats instead of benches, yes, please!) — and what hasn’t changed about movies and movie theaters.

If you can’t make the Oct. 30 event, don’t worry. I’ll be planning more events in the future. And don’t be shy. I would be thrilled to come and talk about this book at your bookclub or anywhere else. The book was an absolute blast to research and write and I can’t wait to talk about it!
