Due to a publishing error, the book, Historic Movie Theaters of Columbia, Missouri, may not be in your hands by Oct. 11, 2021 — or it may be with some pages you won’t recognize.
A mishap at the printing plant resulted in pages 97-112 of another book being inserted in the book, and the actual pages of the Historic Movie Theaters of Columbia being left out.
Arcadia Press/The History Press is working to contact all of those who had pre-purchased the book.
An update about when the correctly published the book will arrive is expected soon. Here’s where you can order the book now for future shipping.
Until then, here are a two tidbits you can expect to find in the book when you get it!
— Did you know that Columbia has had 28 movie theaters since 1894? Can you name the remaining four. Yes, four.
— Four former movie theaters are still in use, but not as movie theaters. Can you find/name the former movie theaters in these buildings?
