October 29, 2012 — Radiation continues to impact MU (Pickard Hall) building — An update on the radiation contamination of Parkard Hall, an 1892 building at the University of Missouri.

Pickard Hall was built in 1892. The architect was M.F. Bell.

The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places along with 17 other buildings as a part of the Francis Quadrangle Historic District, which was placed on the National Register on Sept. 13, 1973. It was named to the Notable Properties List by Columbia’s Historic Preservation Commission in 2001.

Today, Pickard Hall houses MU’s Department of Art History and Archaeology and the Museum of Art and Archaeology.
